Summary: Novalee the main character is traveling west with her boyfriend Willy Jack, so Willy can get a job working on the railroad with his cousin. Novalee and Willy left there town just for Willy to get this job. However after a while Willy abandons Novalee at a Wal-Mart in Sequoyah , Oklahoma. Since Willy left Novalee at Wal-Mart she was secretly living there. Nevertheless Novalee turns 18 and just couple of moments later she gives birth to a baby girl right in Wal-Mart. Novalee couldn't live in peace. She was scared all the time checking all her surroundings if there wasn't any reporters or any bad people who have in thought to harm her and her family. There was a guy called Forney who admitted to Novalee that he loved her, so did she but she was just not ready to admitted it to him. Willy Jack was arrested and arrived at the New Mexico state prison on a Monday. Some time had past and Novalee finally decided to tell Forney that she also loved him and she was ready to start a family with him.
Critique: I would rate this a 8/10.

The Circuit
I really would like to read this book because this book is about a family who crosses the border from Mexico to California for a better life as migrant workers. Papa and Roberto, Francisco's older brother, are migrant workers who pick cotton, strawberries and grapes when in season. They move from place to place, eventually ending up in Tent City, a migrant worker camp of tent homes, in Santa Maria. There is no electricity or plumbing. Francisco attends his first American school there.
House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros is a book we read as a class this year. This book is about a girl name Esperanza who is naive about the smallest things. She is mainly naive about her neighborhood. She is like that because her parents got her excited of having a family house. But when she got there she expected something different. Overall throughout the whole book Esperanza tends to mature and mature little by little because she see's everything going on her neighborhood. Reading this book for he first was really great because I really liked it but there was times where I got lost of how sometimes she expressed her feelings but overall I really enjoyed reading this book.
