October Sky Project
Over these past weeks we have been working on a project called the "October Sky." The main idea of this project was to create one main rocket to keep an egg safe also know as people inside the rocket. However, we went through a long process. We started off by making one tiny paper rocket. It was so small it was the size of a pencil. From that tiny paper rocket we upgraded to a larger paper rocket. This rocket was a size of a 1/2 inch pipe I think Im not sure. But we didn't make 1 of each kind we made several of the same kind because like after 2 weeks of working on one rocket we launched them. Nevertheless, we came to make a bottle rocket. We had made 3 bottle rockets before we came to our last final rocket as you can see below this was my final rocket. The main goal of this project was to keep the egg safe. Which my group did. Out of the two classes we were the only group that the egg didn't crack. The final rocket we launched it 3 times. And in all of those 3 launches our rocket did pretty well and our egg survived after 3 launches. What would have you preferred launch really high and die? Or on the other hand not go that far and survive? I would pick survive right? What I learned from failure was not everything is going to turn out as you want it to be. However failure is always the beginning of a great experience. What I liked about this project was how we pretended we had 1.5 million dollars. And in my opinion that made us think on how to take care/make good choices with what we do with any kind of money. In my opinion what I think I did well on was keeping track of my group since I was the group manager and being responsible for my own work being done. But for next time is use time wisely and never fool around.

As you can see the plastic bag is our parachute that helped us keep our egg safe.
